If gambling is affecting you or someone you know — support is available. Speak to a trusted person or seek independent counselling. You are not alone.
Responsible gambling means approaching gaming as a form of entertainment — something you do with a predetermined budget, in your own time, without financial strain or emotional pressure. It means understanding that outcomes are determined by chance, that the house always maintains a mathematical edge over time, and that there is no strategy that guarantees consistent profit from casino games or sports betting.
For Pakistani users specifically, this context matters a great deal. Sports betting on PSL fixtures, ICC Test series or T20 internationals can feel like informed decision-making because cricket knowledge is deep and genuine. But even strong cricket knowledge does not change the fundamental reality of betting markets — bookmakers price odds to include a margin, and outcomes remain uncertain regardless of analysis. Watching a match knowing you have a stake riding on it adds excitement, but it also adds risk.
Responsible gambling is not about refusing to play. It is about playing within limits you set before you start — not limits set in the heat of a match or a losing streak. NT999 provides tools to help you set those limits in a calm moment, so they are in place when the game is live and emotions are running high.
The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 restricts gambling activities in Pakistan. NT999 does not hold a Pakistani gaming licence and makes no claim that online gambling is lawful under Pakistani law. Users are solely responsible for verifying the legality of their participation in their specific location. This is not legal advice.
These tools are built into the NT999 Platform. Use them proactively — they work best when applied before a session, not during one when emotions may influence your decisions.
Set a maximum daily, weekly or monthly deposit amount. Once your limit is reached, the Platform will decline further deposits until the period resets. Reductions take effect immediately; increases are subject to a cooling-off period for your protection.
Define the maximum amount you are prepared to lose in a given period. When your net loss reaches the set threshold, wagering is suspended for the remainder of the period. This prevents a bad run from escalating into a damaging session.
Receive an alert when you have been playing for a defined duration. Reminders are a prompt to pause, reassess how you feel and decide whether to continue — giving you a built-in moment of reflection during every session.
Reality check alerts display a summary of your current session — time played and net position — at intervals you define. Seeing an objective summary during play helps ground decision-making in facts rather than emotion.
Take a short voluntary break from the Platform — from 24 hours to 30 days — without permanently closing your account. During a cooling-off period, you cannot deposit or place wagers. The period cannot be cancelled once activated.
Permanently or indefinitely exclude yourself from the Platform. Self-exclusion prevents account login, deposits and wagering. NT999 will not send promotional communications to self-excluded users. See the dedicated section below for full details.
Self-exclusion is the strongest responsible gambling tool available on the Platform. It is appropriate when you feel that your gambling has become difficult to control, when you have experienced financial harm, or when you simply want a complete break from the Platform for personal reasons.
NT999 takes self-exclusion requests seriously. Once activated, the Platform will immediately restrict your access — including login, deposits, and marketing communications. The exclusion cannot be reversed during the selected minimum period. This commitment is deliberate: a tool you can undo in the moment is not a meaningful safeguard.
Access your account from any device. Self-exclusion is available from your account settings at any time — you do not need to contact support first, though support can also assist.
Find the Responsible Gambling or Account Controls section in your account profile. All safe-play tools including self-exclusion are accessible from this menu.
Select from the available exclusion periods — short-term (minimum 6 months), medium-term (1 year), long-term (5 years) or indefinite exclusion. Choose carefully: the minimum period cannot be shortened once activated.
Confirm your decision. The exclusion takes effect immediately. You will receive a confirmation to your registered email address. NT999 will not send promotional communications to you during the exclusion period.
If you are unable to access your account settings or require immediate assistance, contact NT999 support directly. The support team will action the self-exclusion request without delay.
Problem gambling can develop gradually. These warning signs are not judgements — they are signals that gambling may have moved from entertainment to something that needs attention. Recognising them early makes a significant difference.
Continuing to gamble — or depositing more — specifically to recover money lost in a previous session. This is one of the clearest early indicators of a gambling problem and often leads to escalating losses.
Using money that should cover rent, utility bills, groceries or other household expenses — or money belonging to family members — to fund gambling activity.
Feeling the need to conceal the amount you gamble, how often you play, or how much you have lost from family or friends. Secrecy around gambling is a strong behavioural warning sign.
Gambling to escape feelings of stress, depression, loneliness or anxiety, rather than for genuine entertainment. Using gambling as an emotional coping mechanism is associated with more severe gambling harm.
Taking loans, using credit facilities or borrowing money from family or friends specifically to fund gambling, or to cover losses incurred through gambling. This includes informal borrowing as well as formal credit.
Repeatedly attempting to cut down or stop gambling and finding it difficult or impossible. Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when not gambling, or when trying to reduce gambling activity.
The questions below are adapted from widely used responsible-gambling self-assessment frameworks. They are not a clinical diagnostic tool, but honest answers can help you evaluate your relationship with gambling.
This self-assessment is informational only. It is not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified counsellor or mental health professional.
Have you ever gambled more than you originally intended in a single session?
Have you ever deposited more money specifically to chase losses from a previous session?
Has gambling ever caused you to miss work, family time or important commitments?
Have you ever hidden the extent of your gambling from family members or close friends?
Have you gambled with money needed for household expenses — rent, food, utility bills?
Have you borrowed money or sold assets to fund gambling or to cover gambling losses?
Do you feel restless, anxious or irritable when you try to stop or reduce gambling?
Have you gambled as a way to escape stress, anxiety, depression or personal difficulties?
Harmful gambling behaviour is often sustained by common myths. Understanding the facts helps Pakistani users approach gaming with a clear and realistic mindset.
"I can beat the house consistently if I develop the right system or strategy."
No betting system eliminates the house edge. Casino games and sportsbook margins are mathematically designed to favour the operator over time. Strategies may influence short-term variance but not long-term expected value.
"I know enough about cricket and PSL to consistently win on sports betting."
Sports knowledge improves informed wagering but does not guarantee profit. Odds reflect collective information and include a bookmaker margin. Even expert analysts lose over time without exceptional edge and disciplined bankroll management.
"A machine or game is 'due' for a win after a long losing run."
Each spin or game outcome is statistically independent. Previous results have no influence on future ones. The belief that outcomes are "due" — sometimes called the Gambler's Fallacy — is a well-documented cognitive error.
"I can always stop whenever I want — it is completely under my control."
Problem gambling can develop gradually and without a clear moment of onset. Many people who experience gambling harm initially believed they were fully in control. Using limit tools and taking regular breaks helps maintain genuine control.
NT999 is an adult-only platform. Access is restricted to users aged 18 or older — or the higher minimum age required by the jurisdiction under which the Operator holds its licence. This restriction is non-negotiable and is enforced through the KYC verification process applied to all registered accounts.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor may have accessed this Platform using your payment details or device, please contact NT999 support immediately. We will suspend the account, investigate the situation, and assist with remediation including the return of any funds deposited by the minor, subject to verification.
NT999 strongly recommends that adults using shared devices enable device-level parental controls and keep account credentials private. Do not store login details on shared devices. Consider using browser-level safe search and filtering tools available on major devices and operating systems to prevent minors from accessing gambling content.
Pakistan has gambling restrictions under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977. Additional restrictions may arise from provincial legislation, Islamic law provisions applicable in certain jurisdictions and emerging digital-services regulation. The legal status of online or remote gaming for Pakistani residents is a nuanced and evolving area.
NT999 does not hold a Pakistani gaming licence and is not endorsed or regulated by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan or any provincial authority. International licensing held by the Operator applies within that jurisdiction only and does not constitute authorisation to participate in Pakistan.
Users are solely responsible for their own legal compliance. NT999 strongly encourages all Pakistani users to seek independent legal advice regarding the lawfulness of their participation before registering or depositing. This section is informational only and does not constitute legal advice.
